• Charge your phone or laptop and check your internet connection
• Choose a quiet, private, well-lit room
• Keep a phone number to call if the video connection fails

Have ready

• Recent reports as clear photos or PDFs to share
• Your medicine list and allergies
• Recent readings if you monitor at home (for example, blood pressure or blood sugar)
• A pen and paper for notes

Good to know

• Some problems need an in-person examination; ask when you should visit in person
• Ask how you will receive your prescription and reports
• Online consultations are not suitable for emergencies — call your local emergency number
