Editorial policy & information sources

How we collect, check, and update the information in our directory, and how you can help us fix mistakes.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Doctors World Info is an informational directory of doctors, specialists, hospitals, and blood donation organizations. Because people use this information to make healthcare decisions, we hold ourselves to clear standards about where it comes from, how current it is, and how quickly we fix errors.

Where our information comes from

Directory listings are compiled from one or more of the following sources:

  • Hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers — publicly available doctor rosters, chamber schedules, and contact details published by the facility.
  • Healthcare providers themselves — information submitted by doctors or authorized hospital staff, together with supporting documents.
  • Official registers — national medical and dental council registers, where they are publicly accessible, for checking registration status.
  • Reports from users — corrections submitted through our report form, which are reviewed before any change is published.

Where a specific source is recorded for a listing, it is shown in the About this information panel on the profile.

How we verify listings

  • A profile is marked Verified only after our team has confirmed the doctor’s identity and key details (such as registration, specialty, and practice location) against an independent source, or directly with the provider.
  • Profiles without this badge are clearly labelled not yet independently verified. Please confirm details directly with the doctor or facility before visiting.
  • We never display a verification badge simply because a listing exists or because a fee was paid.

Profile update dates

Each doctor and facility listing shows a Last updated date. This is the most recent date on which the listing’s information was changed or re-checked by our team. If no date has been recorded yet, the listing says so.

We aim to re-check listings regularly and prioritize those that receive correction reports. Chamber timings and fees change often, so always call ahead to confirm.

Corrections & removals

Anyone can report incorrect or outdated information. Our process is:

  1. Submit a report using the Report Incorrect Information form, or email info@doctorsworldinfo.com. Include the page link, what is wrong, and the correct information.
  2. Review — our team aims to review every report within 5 working days. We check the correction against a reliable source or with the provider.
  3. Update — confirmed corrections are published and the listing’s Last updated date is refreshed.
  4. Follow-up — if you left an email address, we let you know the outcome.

Doctors and hospital representatives can request that their listing be updated or removed. To protect against misuse, we may ask for proof of identity or authorization before making changes.

Advertising & independence

This site is supported by display advertising and by paid listings for doctors and hospitals. Display ads are labelled “Advertisement”; paid listings are labelled “Sponsored” and shown in a separate, clearly marked area. Payment never changes listing information, organic search order, or verification status, and our editorial team decides what appears in health articles. See our advertising & sponsorship policy.

Medical content

Directory listings and health articles are for general information only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Listing a doctor or facility does not imply endorsement. Read our full medical disclaimer.

Publishing & medical review

Health guides, patient checklists, and articles written by our team follow the same process before and after publication:

  1. Brief (Editor) — Topics are chosen from what patients search for on the site, unanswered directory searches, and specialty pages without guides. Each brief names the audience, the questions to answer, and the sources to use.
  2. Draft (Health writer) — Written in plain language from reputable sources such as WHO, national health services, and peer-reviewed guidance. Sources are listed with the draft.
  3. Medical review (Registered doctor in the relevant specialty) — A registered doctor checks clinical accuracy, safety messaging, and when-to-seek-care advice. The reviewer’s name and review date are shown on the page.
  4. Editorial QA (Editor) — Checks readability, links, accessibility, search metadata, disclaimers, and that no advertising or sponsorship has influenced the content.
  5. Publish (Editor) — Published with its update date, linked from related specialty pages and guides, and featured in the next newsletter.
  6. Scheduled re-review (Medical reviewer) — Every medically reviewed page is re-reviewed at least every 12 months, sooner when guidance changes or a reader reports an error.

Pages that have passed medical review show Medically reviewed by with the reviewer’s name and the review date. Pages still waiting for review say so. We do not let advertisers, sponsors, or partners write, review, or approve medical content. Registered doctors who would like to review content in their specialty can join our medical reviewer program.
